My name is Trinity Fleishman, and I will be attending Virginia Tech. I plan on majoring in animal and poultry sciences, with a focus in pre-veterinary studies. I graduated from Wakefield School in The Plains, VA, in 2020, after attending the school for four years. I chose animal therapy as my thesis topic because of my passion for animals. I plan on starting my miniature horse therapy non-profit organization, once COVID-19 settles down.  I wanted to dive deeper into the mental and physical effects of animal therapy on humans. This topic is important because it helps us grasp how vital animals can be in a person's day to day livelihood. Therapy animals not only improve the many physical and mental ailments of people but also form an intimate human-animal bond. My passion for helping animals ever since I was little ignited my new found joy in animal therapy. I can not wait to start my non-profit with my profound research and knowledge from my senior thesis. Animals change lives, and I want to help make an impact with them.
