Informative Booklet

Within my booklet, I show the many challenges and rewards people face while training a therapy animal. I started by discussing a brief overview of the basics of training an animal. I explain how this process can become stressful for not only the handler, but also the animal. We sometimes tend to forgo our pets' needs, not realizing that they are still  pets and not just objects to accomplish a job.  Training can be weighing on the animal, too, and it is our job to make this a fun experience for them, not a burden. Once a person understands the particular challenges that can occur during training, one must understand the meaning and rewards that come after training an animal. I end the booklet by discussing the true reward and joy that comes with training therapy animals and the bond that forms between the trainer and the animal.
